Vegan Portuguese Cookery Workshop - Edinburgh

Learn some new vegan recipes, enjoy delicious plant based food and meet new friends at this Portuguese cookery workshop! The class includes recipes from Locavore's Vegan Brunch & Music event on 28th Jan, as well as a variety of other Portuguese delicacies!

Try your hand at recipes like caldo verde, pataniscas, mushrooms a bulao pato, and everyone's favourite: Pastel de Nata tarts! We will prepare the ingredients and cook together to make a variety of tasty dishes. Guests will be given the recipes from the event to recreate at home. If you're thinking of eating vegan more often, want to keep eating plant based after veganuary or just want to switch things up in the kitchen, this workshop is for you!

Hosting the workshop is Joana Carvalhas - aka The Tiny Musician - a multi-style musician actively performing and teaching in Portugal, Germany, the United States of America and the United Kingdom. Alongside her music she loves to cook and has done foodie pop ups and private dinners all over Europe, collaborating with small businesses like Locavore.

Locavore is a social enterprise running several organic supermarkets across Scotland and a veg box delivery service. We grow food on our land and stock other local growers & ethical producers. In store we have re-fill points, groceries, freshly made coffee and food from our own kitchen. We're striving to build a better future for food, people and planet.
