In this playful and whimsical workshop, participants will explore how picture books are developed from concept to design. Drawing from my own process as an author-illustrator, I will introduce the idea of fractured fairy tales as inspiration for this playful and whimsical workshop. Participants will choose a familiar tale, reinterpret it, and create a concept book cover artwork illustration using Procreate, iPads and Apple Pencils. The goal is to encourage imagination, visual storytelling, and confidence in creative expression. Prerequisite: Participants must have prior digital drawing experience using iPad, Apple Pencils & the Procreate App. VAM will provide technology for use in-workshop but participants are more than welcome to bring in their own devices and Procreate app installed.
