VCOPORA presents its 2026 annual Gala
Les Années Folles, Roaring 20's: A Century of Preservation
On Sunday, September 20th, join VCPORA as we herald our organization's beginnings in the 1920s, the decade the French called "Les Années Folles" (the wild years). Our 2026 Gala will transform Toulouse Theater into an immersive Prohibition-era speakeasy, complete with a secret entrance and Patron “Password” Party from 6:00-7:00 PM, and the gala to follow from 7:00-9:00 PM.
Smoking Time Jazz Club will set the scene, paying tribute to the Jazz Age greats of the 1920s and 30s. Special flapper-inspired dance performances, as well as other acts will fill the evening with amusing surprises. Culinary offerings from Nolavore will pay homage to Roaring 20’s food trends, pairing perfectly with free-flowing Prohibition-era contraband beverages.
The annual Gala is VCPORA's largest fundraising event of the year. Come support the organization that has worked tirelessly for historic preservation and community advocacy in the Vieux Carré for a 100 years. Dance to the beguiling sounds of the Jazz Age in support of a cause that began a century ago!
