Join VAULTA for a full day of movement, connection, and performance at VAULTA Current: Dance & Art Festival.
Designed to bring artists and community members together, VAULTA Current offers opportunities to train, create, network, and experience live performance in a welcoming and collaborative environment. Throughout the day, participants can engage in a diverse lineup of movement classes led by local and visiting teaching artists from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines, fostering exploration, growth, and artistic exchange.
In addition to classes, attendees are invited to participate in Current Connections: Artist Gathering & Networking, a community-centered event designed to encourage meaningful conversations, creative collaboration, and relationship-building among artists, makers, performers, and supporters.
The festival concludes with an evening showcase featuring performances by local and visiting artists, celebrating the creativity, passion, and talent that make our artistic community thrive.
Whether you're a professional artist, emerging creator, student, or enthusiastic supporter of the arts, VAULTA Current offers a space to connect, learn, and be inspired.

About VAULTA
VAULTA is a contemporary dance driven art collective based in Philadelphia and led by artistic director Tori Vincent. Consisting of professional, creative, and genre-fluid dancers and collaborators from the US and beyond, VAULTA gathers artists across forms, traditions, and lived experiences to create original work that speaks to the complexity of our behaviors. Through classes, performances, festivals, and creative partnerships, VAULTA aims to cultivate meaningful connections, support the growth of artists, and build inclusive spaces where exchanges and artistic risk flourish.
Proceeds from this event support VAULTA's ongoing programming, performance opportunities, an international tour, and community centered artist initiatives.

YOGA with Val Pena
Info: Join Val for a morning vinyasa yoga class. This class will link breath and movement as well as strengthen and stretch your body and mind. Accessible to all levels of experience.

CONTEMPORARY EXPLORATIONS / VAULTA REP with Tori Vincent
Info: A grounded and embodied movement practice drawing from Horton techniques, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Graham, and Pilates. Dancers will work through improvisational prompts, structured exercises, and phrase material that encourage both technical development and personal artistry. The class concludes with movement phrases built from concepts explored throughout the session as well as VAULTA repertory.

MODES OF COMPOSITION with Abigail Mosier
Info: What moves us? How do we get an idea to materialize? What makes you feel creative? In this laboratory styled workshop, we will experiment with various ways of generating. Through a series of collaborative and individualized exercises, movers will investigate how curiosities turn into physical expression. We will gather inspiration from words, sounds, images, textures, and external & internal impulses. Bring a notebook, pen, and a sense of play!

MANX MOVEMENT/SINGING FUSION & FLOW with Melanie Holm
Info: Led by MANX Artistic Director Melanie Holm, Fusion & Flow brings together classical singing technique and Bartenieff Fundamentals in a unique combination of movement and voice. The workshop includes a Bartenieff/singing fusion warm-up, introduces dancers to the principles of classical singing and maintaining vocal health, and uses dance/singing fusion phrase work from MANX's repertory to encourage dancers to explore their own body/voice relationship.

EAST AFRO CONTEMPORARY with Isaac Ssemaganda
Info: East Afro contemporary dance class is inspired by the vibrant rhythms and traditional dances and musics of East Africa! This class involves energetic footwork, grounded hip and torso articulation, and a fusion of traditional and contemporary African Movements.No experience needed-just bring your joy, your energy, and your love for dance.

Info: Reflective of VAULTA Current’s commitment to community, artistic exchange, and creating a supportive environment for artists to share their work, this FREE guided gathering is centered around the presenting artists featured in the showcase at 7:30pm. It is an opportunity to connect in the here and now, experience the energy of community, and the flow of exchange; the current. Open to both presenting artists and the public, the hour will include community building, opportunities for artists to share more about their work being presented, creative process, and what brought them to VAULTA Current. Community members will have the opportunity to engage and learn more about the artists and pieces they’ll be experiencing that evening. Artists and organizations are encouraged to bring business cards, flyers, event announcements, or other materials to share at our community resource table which will also be placed in the theater lobby before and after the show. Come as you are!
