WavyLand proudly presents VARG²™: the perfect contrarian, his name a middle finger to legal threats from German band Varg and his music equally a disruptor to the traditional European electronic circuit. VARG²™ is in resistance at all moments, but with this resistance comes his own sense of power. His ability to build torrents of feeling out of outdated hardware indicates his sense of nonchalance for the "conventions", instead carving his own lane where only his rules apply.
VARG²™ finds a way to get what he wants done: Cease2Exist his new creative output, a record label designed to reflect his intuition and taste, with releases from himself, Van Boom, FAKETHIAS, and more to come. Striking gold over and over and over and over, VARG²™ embodies the fiercely creative and untethered Swedish underground scene, alongside friends and collaborators Yung Lean, Bladee, Ecco2k, Thaiboy Digital and Whitearmor.
Last year's Lonestar Pandemonium, out on YEAR0001, is a quick hitting bout of electronic chaos and forward-thinking production inspired by hip-hop, EDM and industrial techno. Beautiful synthesis and granular at every stage, VARG²™'s music is like watching cartoons on a haunted CRT television. He makes alien music for the alien crowd, a local stalwart whose perspective is global and unconstrained.
