Vappu Picnic in Central Park!

Join us in Central Park for a Vappu picnic celebration on May 2, 2026 from 2 PM - 4 PM!

Vappu is a Finnish holiday that is a celebration of spring, Labor Day, and May Day all rolled into one. After a long winter, people pour out in the streets and parks for spirited celebrations, picnicking, and consumption of traditional drinks and sweets.
We bring Mölkky and anyone is welcome to join and play the popular outdoor game. We also serve delicious Finnish mead (sima) and doughnut (munkki).

First come, first serve 😊!
Bring a blanket to sit on and some snacks or lunch if you like!

DIRECTIONS: The picnic will be held on the west side of Central Park near the Central Park Tennis Center. See where the arrow is pointing in the attached image. The C train will bring you to the 96th Street Subway station. The nearest accessible subway station with elevators is on 96th Street and Broadway (1,2,3 trains).
