I'm not Vandy. Vandy was my Dad. And if there's one thing he hated, it was Sniveling!Join us at 8pm on Saturday June 10th for my 3RD annual night time fatass runs. No cost, no prizes, no support, and most importantly no sniveling!
We will meet in the Sweet Connie/Dry Creek parking lot during the 7 o'clock hour with a plan to start at 8pm with a Bud Light toast at the trailhead.
After the toast, runners and hikers are free to start and can go wherever they want, but there is a real course too. The official full course is that you complete BOTH Sweet Connie to Stack Rock loop and back, and the Dry Creek/Shingle Creek loop, with a short out and back extension to Ridge Road on DC/Shingle. Each half is about 15.5 miles or 25k. Both together are about 50K. You can run the loops in any order, in any direction.
This is meant to be a fun training run for anyone of any ability who wants to enjoy a night run in the lushest, greenest part of the early Summer, and a great reason to practice with your headlamps.
This is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT SELF SUPPORTED, so we expect you to be self sufficient and be able to get out the situations you might put yourself into. This is in the dark and nobody is going to come find you until morning, so make sure you have everything you need...water, food, headlamp(s)!
Feel free to join us for the full thing, half, or any of the course in any variation, or just for the beer, the sunset, or whatever feels good.
