We are a social justice minded group, Kreyòl forum that discusses matters of concern to the Ayitian community and to the world at large and seek to form a better understanding of what is occurring in the community we live in as well as back home in Ayiti & around the world. The discussion group centers around issues that pertain to Ayitian history, politics, leaders, origin, identity, language, stigmas/-isms, spirituality, and culture. We tackle issues of systemic, governmental, cultural, national, immigration, patriarchal, war on Womxn sexual violence as weapons of war, human trafficking, & many other oppressions, taboos, stigmas, mysticisms, government corruption, gang violence, expatriatism/refugees, & other crises we as a community & our home face.
We educate, learn from each other, & build stronger, healthier, solid links & understanding of our culture while demystifying, debunking, & destigmatizing what colonial, imperial, capitalistic, & governmental corruption, destruction, torment, & turmoil has caused by uplifting each other & our family in Ayiti.
Our aim is to foster dialogue in an inclusive and respectful manner while acknowledging each other's differences & even more so our great similarities that bind us together as the Ayitian family in community we are. While also striving to break generational traumas & intergenerational differences & ignorance promoting healthy & proud cultural practice.
In addition we work towards having an intergenerational & global discussion & community from the diaspora directly back home in Ayiti where we can all benefit/learn from, improve, & uplift one another. We encourage all age groups to attend as this is already an elder & youth friendly intergenerational space.
