Vancouver Women Entrepreneurs November Meetup at Tayybeh

An afternoon of Middle Eastern food, mingling and networking with Vancouver women entrepreneurs, plus your own 5-minute spotlight.
About this Event

Join us on Sunday, November 15 for an afternoon with women founders and women business owners in and around Vancouver.

This is your chance to meet other women building businesses in Vancouver, share who you are and the magic you're bringing to the world, and find your next collaborators, partners, clients, referral partners and investors. Come ready to start relationships you can keep building long after the afternoon wraps up.

Who you'll meet

Women who run their own businesses in and around Vancouver, whether you've been at it for years or you're just getting started:

• Founders and small business owners
• Freelancers, consultants and coaches
• Service providers and realtors
• Speakers and authors
• Women exploring a new business idea

For this meet up, we will be gathering at Tayybeh, a lovely Middle Eastern restaurant. The space will be set up for mingling, with new dishes coming around every 30 minutes, so you can move around, eat, and meet people as you go.

What's included in your $55 ticket

• A select assortment of Middle Eastern foods made by Tayybeh's women chefs
• Mingling and networking with women founders and business owners
• The option to give a 5-minute presentation about your business to the group (there's a big TV screen if you want to show a slide or two)

Presentations

Presentations happen at the top of each hour, at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. You're welcome to come and go as you please, though if you're only with us for part of the afternoon you may miss some of the presentations and some of the food!

Want to present? Say yes to the presentation question when you register and I'll be in touch with your time. There are 10 spots, first come, first served.

Add-ons (only 5 of each)

Professional Headshot Session with Monika Sosnowska, $126 (GST included)

Up to 15 minutes, including two quick outfit changes. Choose two images from a password-protected online gallery of 10 to 15 shots taken during your session. Your two selected images will be professionally retouched and delivered as high resolution JPG files. Additional retouched images are available for $45 each.

Speaker Video with Monika Sosnowska, $52.50 (GST included)

If you're a speaker, you may be interested in getting a clip of yourself speaking to the room. About Tayybeh

Tayybeh is a women-owned social enterprise founded in 2016 by Nihal Elwan. It started as a series of pop-up dinners and has grown into a catering company and restaurant, now at 151 W Broadway in Mount Pleasant, with a team of newcomer women chefs, many from Syria, cooking the dishes they grew up with. Tayybeh means both "kind" and "delicious" in Arabic, and you'll taste both.
