𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝟴𝗧𝗛 𝗔𝗧 𝟭𝗣𝗠, 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗟𝗘𝗬 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞
It's happening it's happening it's happening! Vancouver’s largest water fight! You’ll want to be there because you have never seen so many smiles in one place. The 15th Annual Vancouver Water Fight will truly be the biggest, most epic, and most fun event that has ever happened anywhere!
𝗧𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘
This is a free, unsanctioned event with no organizer, no tickets, and no instructions. Just show up near The Lumberman’s Arch in Stanley Park, follow the sounds of the giggles and squeals to the Fox’s Den Spray Park (1151 Stanley Park Drive, Vancouver, BC), get in there, and have fun! You can use a water gun, a bucket, a water bottle, a plastic bag, or just your cupped hands.
𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗦
Costumes are encouraged! Previous events have included chickens, astronauts, scuba divers, construction workers, clowns, and dinosaurs. Look for Ken (aka “The Walking Target”), the refined gentleman walking through the event in his nicely pressed suit and a smile. Man, it’s fun to shoot that guy.
𝗞𝗜𝗗𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗦
But water guns are for kids, right? Umm . . . kids of all ages! The majority of the participants are adults, and they always seem to have more fun than the kids. Think you’re too old or two young? Think again!
𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚
Plan to arrive at 1:00pm to get a good spot and make sure you don’t miss anything, but really, you can drop in any time you like. The bulk of the fun will last about 90 minutes, but it just keeps going for hours as long as the smiles persist. Arrive early, arrive on time, arrive late – just arrive!
𝗖𝗢𝗗𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧
Here are some guidelines for the Vancouver Water Fight, and just generally for life:
1) Have fun: there’s no need to be serious, like . . . ever
2) Protect the innocent: spray everyone you can with water, except the bystanders
3) Things are slippery when wet, so you know, watch out for those things
4) Keep your important stuff in a waterproof bag so that you’re cool with getting soaked
5) Aim for the body and not the face, but wear goggles or sunglasses just in case (easy to remember because it rhymes)
6) Get creative and leave the water balloons at home - maybe some new way of soaking people that doesn't involve all those little bits of latex that have to be picked up afterwards
7) Spread the word: The last rule of the Water Fight Club is, you 𝘥𝘰 talk about the Water Fight Club! Download the printable flyer from https://bit.ly/3IrxWEE, put it up on your office billboard, and hand out copies to everyone you see. Brag about the Vancouver Water Fight you are going to, share this event on Facebook, and then come alone or bring friends! Every additional person is one more smile and one more target!
