Vancouver Pride with Queer as Funk

Queer As Funk is set to celebrate their 11th anniversary with the launch of their debut studio album at The Commodore Ballroom on August 2nd 2024. Joined by the soulful Sojourners the evening promises a blend of exciting vibrant music and heartfelt community celebration. Queer As Funk has been a cornerstone of the BC music scene for over a decade known for their electrifying performances that fuse funk soul Motown and R&B. Their music is a beacon of inclusivity - the band openly and joyously celebrates the 2SLGBTQl+ community in Vancouver. This concert marks the release of Queer As Funk's first studio album. Recorded at Hipposonic Studios in Vancouver BC with Liam Moes the album gives fans the opportunity to bring the dance party home and increases visibility and representation of queer artists in the wider music industry.
