About this Event
We're hosting an inspiring evening where video game industry professionals will share their insights and expertise. On October 15th at 5:30 PM, join us at Vancouver Film School with Dan Fornace, George Rogers, Ryan Roth and Nick Spanos!
Dan Fornace is the Studio Lead at Aether Studios. Dan created the first Rivals of Aether in Game Maker with a small team and has grown the franchise into a multiple game series that comes from a studio of over 30 people now. Now Dan works on managing the studio and being the Creative Director of our flagship title Rivals of Aether II.
George Rogers is the Community Director of Aether Studios. George joined during Early Access of Rivals of Aether and built out the online communities and local tournament scenes that support the game today. Now George works on Rivals of Aether II and our other games on marketing, community engagements, esports, social media, trailers, patches and more.
Nick Spanos is a game designer who blends narrative, UX, and playful experimentation to craft memorable interactive experiences. From shaping the level design of Fresh Tracks to developing the game design strategy for Deep Signal: Mission One, his work has earned recognition from the CMF Prototyping Fund, Creative BC, and the VR Awards. With a B.A. in Interactive Arts & Technology from Simon Fraser University and a toolkit spanning Unity, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Figma, Nick is passionate about designing games that surprise, challenge, and delight players.
Ryan Roth is a Canadian sound designer and composer known for his work on Guacamelee 2, Void Bastards, and The Beginner’s Guide. With over two decades of experience in game development, Ryan excels at creating impactful sound design while blending gameplay with harmony and voice-leading techniques.
