Join us on Sun, Oct 27, 2024, at 12:00 PM for a FREE & fang-tastic time at the Van Cortlandt House Museum Lawn. Get ready for a day filled with creepy crafts, face painting, spine-chilling stories, and more!

Bring your pup to our 2nd annual Canine Costume Contest at 2:00 PM! Pre-registration is $20. Day-of registration is $25.

All proceeds benefit Van Cortlandt Park Alliance, a 501(c)(3) organization that preserves, supports, and promotes the recreation, ecology, cultural arts, and history of Van Cortlandt Park.

Canine Contest Rules

• Dogs only allowed in this contest. Please do not bring other animals.
• Dogs must be at least 6 months old.
• Costumes must be safe & comfortable. 
• Dogs must wear I.D. tags at all times. 
• Dogs must be on a leash (max 6 ft. lock retractable leashes) 
• Dogs must be under your control at all times. 
• Owners/Handlers are responsible for the actions of their pet. 
• Dogs must be clean and in good health with up-to-date shots, including rabies vaccinations.
• Dogs must be sociable with other pets, adults, and children. 
• Dogs must be well-adjusted to crowds & noisy environments.
• No dogs in heat. 
• Event officials reserve the right to refuse entry or excuse any dog from the event area. 
• Be prepared to clean up after your pet. 
• Most Important Rule… HAVE FUN!
