Valor Archery Challenge partners with veteran-owned Golden Forge Ranch to bring you our most challenging course of the 2026 season. This isn't just another 3D shoot—this is elevation training, terrain adaptation, and real-world bowhunting preparation in the Colorado Rockies.

At 9,000+ feet in the mountains near Guffey, CO, you'll face steep angles, rugged terrain, and shot scenarios designed to simulate actual hunting conditions. If you want to be ready for bowhunting season—this is where you train.

PRICING:

This event is open to all skill levels, but be prepared for a physical challenge. If you're:

WHAT TO EXPECT:

This is Valor's most demanding course. You'll hike between targets across uneven, mountainous terrain. Shots will include steep uphill and downhill angles that require you to adjust your aim and range estimation. The altitude will test your cardio. The scenery will take your breath away (literally and figuratively).

This is archery as training, not just recreation. No scores. No rankings. Just you against the mountain, improving with every shot.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Your bow and arrows (compound, recurve, traditional all welcome)
• Sturdy hiking boots - this is NOT flat terrain
• Extra water (altitude = dehydration)
• Layered clothing (mountain weather changes fast)
• Snacks/lunch
• Trekking poles (optional but helpful)
• Camera (the views are incredible)
• Your A-game

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• This is a physically demanding course. Participants should be comfortable hiking uneven terrain.
• Cell service may be limited in the mountains. Plan accordingly.
• Weather in the Rockies can change quickly—come prepared.
• Golden Forge Ranch is approximately 90 minutes from Colorado Springs.
