Valentine’s Painting Class: Self-Portrait in Joy

Join Katya for a playful, feel-good acrylic painting class where you’ll create a self-love self-portrait in action. Instead of a traditional portrait, you’ll paint yourself doing something very YOU. And, if you're coming with a plus one, you can even paint each other for good laughs!

Imagine a cozy, creative afternoon where you’ll paint yourself in a moment of joy. Capture yourself doing what you love:
cuddling your furry friend, walking with your yoga mat, reading a book, eating Tony's pizza, hiking rolling hills, strolling the beach, resting, breathing, being.

We’ll paint using acrylics on 12×12-inch square canvases: no pressure to be realistic. This class is about expression, not perfection.

No experience needed. Come to laugh, paint, relax, and leave with a joyful artwork that celebrates you, living your life your way.

About Art Teacher: Katya Bloshkina is a San Francisco-based artist balancing freelance work, parenting, and continuous artistic education. Katya's art approach embodies playfulness and exploration, utilizing ink, pencils, acrylic, oil, and hand printmaking. Her art pieces have been exhibited in the de Young Museum, Art Centers of Palo Alto and Sacramento, and inside our favorite Ferry Building.
