About this Event
About Vajrayogini and the initiation
Vajrayogini as powerful Yidam deity
Vajrayogini embodies complete enlightenment in female form, she is in semi-wrathful form and a beautiful female Buddha, she is an emanation of Tara, the embodiment of wisdom of all the Buddhas, she is also known as Vajravarahi.
His Holiness Kyabje Trijang Dorje Chang and the great lama Thubten Yeshe said that the Vajrayogini yoga method is extremely powerful. It is just what we need in these times of degeneration, especially as it has the profound property of becoming more powerful as delusions become stronger.
Practise of Vajrayogini’s 11 yogas is a comprehensive means to enlightenment and especially effective for our current time.
In the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, she is one of the four principle meditational deities Yamantaka, Chakrasamvara, Vajrayogini and Guhyasamaja.
The lineage of Vajrayogini was introduced by Mahasiddha Naropa to the Nepalese great Siddhas the Pamtingpa brothers then made its way to Tibet. Vajrayogini Tantra practice is the most popular Yidam deity in Tibet and Mongolia.
Please note: The prerequisite for this Initiation is only open to those who had received one of these five initiations in the past: Heruka, Chakrasmabhava, Yamantaka, Gyuhesamja, Kalachakra and Hevajra. Otherwise the person is not qualified to receive the Vajrayogini initiation at this time.
