About This Course
In this course, Venerable Khadro will introduce the practice of Vajrasattva, one of the most important purification practices in Tibetan Buddhism. It is especially emphasised in the tradition of Lama Zopa Rinpoche as an essential method for purifying negative karma, obscurations, and mental imprints that obscure our true nature.
Through explanation and guided practice, students will learn how to engage in Vajrasattva meditation, including mantra recitation, visualization, and the application of the four opponent powers—the essential framework for effective purification.
Lama Zopa Rinpoche frequently advised his students to rely on Vajrasattva practice as a daily method to purify obstacles and create the causes for realizations on the path to enlightenment. This practice allows us not only to cleanse past actions, but to transform our relationship to them—bringing a sense of relief, clarity, and renewed direction.
By engaging in this practice regularly, we gradually reduce inner obstacles and create space for compassion, wisdom, and positive qualities to grow.
This course is open to everyone—whether you are new to Buddhist practice or already have experience. It offers a clear and accessible introduction to what purification means, why it is essential on the path, and how to apply it in a practical way in daily life.
The course is also especially beneficial for those planning to attend the Vajrasattva initiation with H.E. Ling Rinpoche on May 24th, as it provides a strong foundation for understanding the practice and its purpose.
