Dance in the still-point, on the longest night of the year, in community. You are warmly invited to join us on Sat. Dec. 21, 7-9:45pm. We'll gather in circle, chat about the meaning & the gifts of this winter solstice time across cultures, practice vagus nerve toning & parasympathetic nervous system strategies, then share a healing & releasing ecstatic dance wave, ending in an hour-long sound bath with acupuncture. You can listen on the indoor speaker system or wear our silent disco headsets and control your own volume (with the added option of dancing indoors in the sanctuary & outdoors at Fisherman's Wharf!)

KATHERINE Katherine Murphy
Katherine was inspired to study Chinese Medicine while working reception for an acupuncturist friend. Seeing the impact it had for so many made her curious enough to start reading textbooks on her lunch break. It sparked a passion that is only growing the more she learns. She graduated with a Diploma of Acupuncture from Pacific Rim College, and is continuing her education with Neijing Nature Based Medicine through the Apricot Grove. She works as a community acupuncturist at Hemma and is passionate about the impact and accessibility of community acupuncture.
She has been a dancer since the age of 3, studying everything from highland dance to Brazilian folk dances and even a little ballet. These days most of her dancing happens in the kitchen with her animals, but she is thrilled to be merging her love of acupuncture and dance with this event.
