* VAGF Member Artists are encouraged to bring a piece of original art for Artist of the Month voting.
* The meeting is free for members, while guests are encouraged to make a $10 donation at the door.

TOPIC: Artist Talk: A Place for Public Art
Join muralist Alec DeJesus and his wife and business partner for a look at what it takes to build a family-run creative business. Together, they will share how large-scale public art projects move from concept to completion through a balance of creative vision, strategic planning, and operational support. Alec leads the artistic direction, design development, project logistics, sales, equipment coordination, and on-site execution, while his wife oversees proposals, presentations, contracts, invoicing, and business administration. Through stories, project case studies, and lessons learned along the way, they will offer an honest look at the realities of entrepreneurship, collaboration, parenthood, and building a sustainable career in the arts.
* Doors open at 6:30pm, Announcements start at 7pm, artist of the month voting and award by 8:45pm, mix/mingle until 9pm.
