Bandabardò was born in 1993 in Florence from the meeting between Enrico "Erriquez" Greppi and A.M. Finaz. After stabilizing with a six-piece lineup, the band immediately began an intense live activity in Italy and France. Their recording debut was in 1996 with Il circo mangione (winner of the Ciampi Prize as best debut of the year), followed by Iniziali bì-bì, which contains their first hit, “Beppeanna”. After the mini-live Barbaro tour comes the release of Se mi rilasso... collasso, a live album containing the studio version of “Manifesto”, another immediately successful song.
After many years touring in Italy and several albums, and another European tour with gigs in London, Dublin, Amsterdam and Berlin, a new version of “Beppeanna” called “Se mi rilasso collasso” is released in 2018 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the band's birth. The song features Stefano Bollani, Caparezza, Carmen Consoli, Daniele Silvestri and Max Gazzè and it’s followed by a party-concert on December 7, 2018, at the Nelson Mandela Forum in of Florence where the band celebrates with Max Gazzè, Carmen Consoli, Tonino Carotone, Modena City Ramblers, Cisco and Piero Pelù.
On February 14, 2021, Enrico "Erriquez" Greppi passed away due to an uncurable disease.
A year later the band announces their intention to continue their activity.
In 2024 the band has finished working with Cisco and produced a new album, featuring the lead guitarist Finaz on vocals, and announced a new European tour that will start in April 2025,

Berlin support band CURRAO present a mix of Ska, Reggae and world pop with lyrics by theit frontman Tom Baumann in German, Italian and French, often talking about their hometown in the so-called typical "Berliner Schnauze" (a kind of big mouth accent characterizing the city's people's rough but heartly style of speaking). Due to a collaboration of Bandabardò's emblematic former frontman ERRIQUEZ (who passed away in 2021) for Currao's single "VAGABONDO" (featuring Peppe Voltarelli) the band remains linked to the Bandabardò's activities and will celebrate that at the upcoming concert.
