Bringing technical death metal from the frost-bitten shores of BC Canada, Vaegon are embarking on their first Australian tour, so batten down the hatches because spring at PFR is about to get a cold snap!

Vaegon is a Technical Death Metal band pushing the boundaries of precision, brutality and atmosphere. Combining relentless speed, crushing riffs and intricate songwriting. 𝐕𝐚𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐧 crafts a sound that’s as cerebral as it is devastating, the band thrives on creating music that challenges listeners while delivering the raw aggression that defines extreme metal.

Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta - Vaegon has quickly established itself in the underground metal scene with an uncompromising live presence & dedication to musicianship that sets them apart. With 2 EP releases ‘The Particle Eclipse’ & ‘Ciphers from the Void’ under their belt, Vaegon are full throttle on their meteoric rise in death metal technicality.

Joining them are genre-bending Perth heavy-weights All This Filth, blending including Groove Metal, Thrash, Hardcore, Death Metal, Industrial Metal and even hints of Sludge and Nu-Metal to create a unique blend of aggressive fury. Strongly influenced by bands such as Fear Factory, Chimaira and Sepultura, the essence of what metal really means is expressed sonically through the crushing riffs, solid drums and ballsy bass, while being dynamically shaped with electronic keys and audio samples.

Also from the far-off shores of WA are Buried Shallow. Fusing groove, industrial, numetal, metalcore and deathcore amongst other diverse influences, get ready to put on your best stank-face and wreck your neck!

Rounding out the lineup with some local madness comes the proggy discombobulation of Therein! If you don't know who this Brisbane powerhouse are you've been living under a rock! A brazen writing style with little regard to trends or convention, and idiosyncratic tastes of the band members sees the band twist and turn through a nebulous catalogue of styles which has taken the band everywhere from underground Metal clubs in Japan to Australia's renown Woodford Folk Festival.
