The VA2K is a two-kilometer walk (1.24 miles). The annual VA2K event encourages people to live active lifestyles and allows participants to support homeless Veterans through voluntary donations of food and clothing items.
Bring a donation for VA Pittsburgh’s Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) Program or stop in the Heinz or UD VCS Canteen to purchase and donate in advance. Donation not required to participate.
Items accepted for donation: laundry detergent, household cleaning products, non-perishable food (canned soup, vegetables, fruit, pasta, tomato sauce, mac & cheese, tuna, noodles, cereal, etc.) and hygiene products (full-size soap, shampoo, deodorant).

11:15 a.m. -- Opening Entertainment
Noon – Leadership Welcome Remarks
12:05 p.m. -- National Anthem
12:10 p.m. -- Warmup with Whole Health
12:15 p.m. -- VA2K Begins
HCHV offers a variety of services and support:
-Outreach to shelter programs and unsheltered locations
-Transitional Housing Programs
-Permanent housing in our HUD VASH Permanent Housing Program
-Veterans Justice Outreach Program
