Location
Washburn University - Memorial Union | Topeka, KS
About this Event
November is National Family Caregiver Month and we want to connect with caregivers. The resource fair will allow caregivers to interface with community and VA partners to explore resources, systems, best practices, and support systems.
Breakout sessions include a meditative sound bath, drum circle, caregiver and Veteran photos, and more!
Our afternoon summit explores the importance of respite, the health and wellbeing impact of taking a break and self-care for caregivers. The VA Eastern KS Caregiver Support & Whole Health Team will facilitate a conversation about what the VA and community offers caregivers to support their needs.
Meet us for a community conversation for the Caregiver Support Resource Fair & Summit at
Washburn University- Memorial Union

Topeka, KS 66621
Our intended audience for this Summit is any/all members of the community who serve or partner with Veteran caregivers. We value our caregivers and recognize that they have a great responsibility to take care of our Veterans, and serve as members of their community. Our goals are to provide training in respite, whole health and health and well-being coaching and demonstrate how whole health practices can improve the lives of caregivers.
We aim to increase collaboration and communication among and between community organizations and the VA, and to share ideas and borrow effective practices from each other. We look forward to seeing you!
