UX, Content, Context: Talking Strategy and Operations

We’re delighted to share the details for our first Ladies That UX Brighton event of 2023! The theme is *UX, Content, Context: Talking Strategy and Operations* (the most popular topics when we surveyed our audience). Our speakers will share their professional experiences from the world of UX and also Content.

• Doors will open at 7pm.
• Snacks and light refreshments will be provided.
• There will be time for food and networking before an introduction and welcome from our host Madgex.
• Speakers will start promptly at 7.30pm.
• Questions will be taken throughout the evening, and we will leave time to respond to these before we wrap up at 9pm.

We have spaces for 30 in-person attendees or you can attend online via YouTube livestream. A link will be sent out via email nearer the time.

Venessa Bennett (she/her) is a design leader that helps businesses craft experiences that meet customers needs. She has worked across multiple industries and businesses, including Rightmove and Vodafone. Venessa advocates using design thinking principles to help create viable solutions for businesses. She strives to create and build diverse teams and is currently the Head of UX at Cazoo.

She says, "when Cazoo launched we were heavily reliant on 3rd parties to carry out their logistics, which meant our in-house processes were very manual. As we scaled we brought operations and logistics in-house which meant switching to the automation of processes."

Venessa talks about how her team worked to show the value of design and build great tools for our internal users during the backdrop of covid.

Rachel McConnell is a design leader with experience working for BT, Deliveroo, Clearleft, RSA and Unilever. She’s currently design director at Flo Health. Over her varied career she’s had many different content roles – from strategy to design – and has created content for brands such as Virgin Holidays, John Lewis and Lloyd’s of London. She’s the author of Why you need a content team and how to build one and Leading content design.
