We are very happy to announce the 2025 UVA Open badminton tournament. Below we have included important information about the tournament. For the registration link, scroll down to the registration and payment details section.Dates: September 27-28, 2025

Registration fees are $30 for the 1st event, $25 for the 2nd, and $20 for the 3rd.
Cash prizes for A bracket winners:
1st place: $100 per doubles pair or $70 per singles player
Runner up: $70 per doubles pair or $40 per singles player
These prizes may be subject to change based on the number of signups received.
Medals for winners and runners-up of all brackets.

Registration deadline: September 17 at 11:59pm
After the registration deadline, we will release the player list and payment will be due by September 20 at 11:59pm. If payment is not received by then, your spot will go to someone on the waitlist.
If you cancel your registration on or before September 21 at 11:59pm and you have already paid, you can receive a full refund for your events.
To pay, please Venmo @eguo2468 or Zelle to [email protected] (Zelle is preferred) with a note stating your full name and events you are paying for. To confirm you are paying the right person, the last 4 digits of the phone number are 6994.
Brackets will be posted on September 24.
Tournament policies:
We will be on a tight schedule. Please check in for your event at least 15 minutes before the start time. We will be implementing a queue system with upcoming matches. Please check on that regularly and be ready in the gym if you see your name on the list.
Once your name is called, you have 10 minutes to show up for your match or your match will be forfeited.
Due to UVA policy, you must be 18 years or older to register for the tournament.
