What We’re Doing
Bring your broken household items—anything you can carry, from electronics and lamps to bicycles, clothing, and even small engines like lawnmowers or leaf blowers! Upon arrival, you'll be matched with a skilled Repair Wizard at a dedicated workbench. This is an inclusive learning lab where you're invited to sit with the expert, work together, or watch the process so you can walk away with the skills to fix things yourself in the future.
🔧 Our workbenches are stocked with a drill press, soldering irons, multimeters, and a good supply of consumables (screws, wire, connectors).
The Vibe & Family Fun
All that fixing can work up an appetite! We'll have light snacks, coffee, and soft drinks on hand to keep you fueled while you repair, tinker, and visit.
We are a family-friendly event with activities for all ages! While you work on a repair or enjoy the background music and lighthearted trivia, your children can explore our tinker table—a safe space to take apart donated household items and learn how they work. We will also provide a fenced-in playground and gaga ball pit, supervised by background-checked adults so parents can engage fully with their repairs.
Volunteer Wizards Especially Needed
Whether you're an apprentice just learning the ropes or a "Legend" who can diagnose a circuit board by sight, you can be part of a movement to fight planned obsolescence. You could be the reason a neighbor's shop light stays on or a small business keeps running, and the reason someone feels a little more connected to their community.
Especially needed: Small-Engine Enthusiasts! If you love working on anything with a pull-start, we have dedicated space in the parking lot for your expertise.
