Please join us next Sunday, August 17th, at 10:30 AM for a very special Blessing of the Backpacks service. This is a time when we gather as a community to support and celebrate all who are getting ready for a brand-new school year: students, teachers, parents, caregivers, and all of those who play a role in the education of others. Jessica Gagliardi has planned this multi-generational service and Christine Callahan will be in the pulpit. Christine Callahan is the owner and director of A Place to Grow Afterschool in Gettysburg, where she and her assistant director, Jessica Gagliardi, nurture the whole child through creativity, connection, and care. A single parent herself, Christine knows how much families need both safe, joyful spaces for kids and a community that truly has their back. For the past 15 years, she's been devoted to helping young people see their own value and the gifts they bring to the world, She also leads the local Kids for Peace chapter and enjoys sharing wisdom and beauty from many different faith traditions with the youth she serves.

Our Sunday service is dual platform. We meet physically in the sanctuary as well as on Zoom. There are masks available for use near the greeter’s stand if you wish to use one.
