Utah Symphony has reached out to us and kindly offered free tickets to sketch at the Finishing Touches rehearsal on December 12. They feel it is important to support artists these days; so let's return the favor by sharing their story with our sketches.Information about the rehearsal and music can be found at:

It will be open seating, so you can choose your view(s) to sketch from.
Note that no open water containers or ink bottles are allowed, and no pastel or charcoal. Water brushes are fine, as are pencils, pens, and markers. You can use watercolors with a water brush only, no water reservoirs are allowed.
Please, free tickets for sketchers only. If you have someone who wants to join you for the rehearsal, they can buy a ticket ($11.50-$19.00) at the above link.
Please respond "going" if you'd like a ticket. Tickets will be available at will-call right before the performance. We will need your name for the list in order for you to be able to pick it up.

"Start your morning off right with a behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing our concerts to the stage. Finishing Touches gives our audience the opportunity to observe working rehearsals; selections from the program will be rehearsed at the discretion of the conductor.
Intensity has a name, and it’s Dvorák’s Symphony No. 7! With sweeping melodies, dramatic flair, and a whole lot of heart, this late Romantic masterpiece is an inspiration to hear.
Leading into this powerful experience is Unsuk Chin’s subito con forza (“suddenly with power”), a vibrant tribute to Beethoven’s legacy. Written for Beethoven’s 250th birthday, Chin channels the late composer’s energy with a fresh twist—and plenty of hidden references to find. This sets the perfect stage for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3, where the piano meets the orchestra to reveal both turbulent intensity and serene lyricism."
