The Center for the Design and Manufacturing of Advanced Materials was established at USU in May of 2022 with the purposes of furthering our students’ proficiency in material science, advancing our long legacy of working with composites and other advanced materials, and continuing our support for industry-funded research projects. Our mission is to educate and train the next generation of advanced materials and composites engineers and help spur innovation across Utah’s bustling advanced manufacturing industries. We are also committed to furthering the mission of USU's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department to undertake transformative research in areas of renewable and nuclear energy, manufacturing and product design, defense and aerospace, and other ventures.
