Møster! is an instrumental quartet consisting of some of the most active musicians from the experimental rock and jazz scene in Norway. Musically, Møster! derives from the experimentations conducted in the early 70's in the rock and jazz realms, guided by such bands and artists as Soft Machine, John Coltrane and Miles Davis, but also heavily affected by the rhythms of Fela Kuti, the sounds of Harry Partch Karlheinz Stockhausen, the psyche of Can, and the power of Black Sabbath. This mix has brewed since the band started playing together in 2010, and has now developed into a singular musical world where electroacoustic timbres powered by ecstatic rhythms can facilitate extensive inner journeys for the listener.
