Kanaan emerges from an ocean of fuzz like a Kyuss that went to jazz school. The three prolific young musicians are seemingly everywhere on the Norwegian music scene these days, as members of Daufødt, Blodkvalt, Sex Magick Wizards and ¡BangBang Watergun!. A diverse selection of bands that display the aptitude of the players, as well as their eclectic musical influences. Kanaan's albums vary from jazzy, psychedelic explorations with forays into kraut and free improvisation to super heavy stoner rock. Inspired by bands such as Colour Haze, Sleep, Elder, Motorpsycho and Acid Mothers Temple. Although never flashy, the wild and free-flowing talent within the three musicians is always on display as they plow their way through enormous riffs and thunderous grooves.
Kanaan never rests. They have released eight albums since their debut in 2018.

NEWMAKER ist ein Fortbewegungsmittel für die außerplanetaren Sphären der Musik. Der Raum zwischen den bewohnten Welten. Staub, Hitze und Kälte - schöne Nebel und tödliche Strahlung. Leeres Nichts und doch Behältnis von Allem. NEWMAKER ist zur Erkundung dieses Weltraums gedacht.
Aus melodischen Wrackteilen, rhythmischen Trümmern und wackeligen Prototypen bauen Torsten Lang, Falk Meutzner und Nils Weishaupt wendige und widerstandsfähige Kapseln, um sich immer wieder neu auf die Suche nach der ominösen Essenz zu begeben, von der sie wissen dass sie sie bereits in sich tragen und, die in Worte zu fassen überflüssig ist. Auf der unvorhersehbaren Route von Planet zu Planet wird das Chaos zum bewohnbaren Raum und das Vehikel zur Erkundung wird zur Erkundung selbst. Ihr Debut Album Tidal Lock erscheint am 2. Mai 2025.
