Welcome aboard the USS LST 325 the only operational Landing Ship Tank in WWII configuration still afloat in U.S. waters.The historic ship participated in the invasion and occupations of Sicily and Salerno in 1943 and the Normandy invasion on D-Day June 6, 1944. The USS LST 325 will be at the Hannibal Riverfront from Friday, Sept. 15 to Monday, Sept. 18.
Tours will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day on a first-come, first-serve basis. Visitors can check out the various levels of the 328-foot-long vessel at their leisure. The USS LST 325 could hold 20 Sherman Tanks, along with 200-400 troops, and 30-40 wheeled and/or tracked vehicles.
Adult tickets are available for $15, children 6-17 years of age can purchase tickets for $7.50, and admission is free of charge for children who are five years old and younger. Students 6-17 years of age can tour for $7 each, with one free chaperone per 10 students.
