USO Outdoor Adventures - Camping & Hiking - Carolina Beach State Park

****IMPORTANT: This event is open to active duty, reserve, and guard service members currently serving in North Carolina and their spouses/dependents.****

• The group will arrive on Saturday, June 10 at 4:00pm and check-in to the campgrounds.
• The campsite will be a large group site. Details will be emailed after registration complete.
• Camping equipment and meals will not be provided by USO North Carolina. Participants must bring their own gear and meals for the weekend.
• Outdoor games, some fishing gear, and other equipment will be provided for the group to share. Participants are welcome to bring their own equipment for personal use.

From Carolina Beach State Park:

Located in New Hanover County 12 miles south of Wilmington, Carolina Beach State Park is home to the Venus flytrap, a unique carnivorous plant. The park is known for habitats like Sugarloaf Dune, a 50-foot dune that once served as a navigational marker for river pilots, as well as three limesink ponds that each feature a unique plant community. The park's marina provides access to the Cape Fear River and the Intracoastal Waterway, making the area popular for boaters and anglers.

• The USO North Carolina is not able to provide transportation to the event. Participants are responsible for providing their own transportation.
• The USO North Carolina will not provide meals during the event. Participants are responsible for bringing food for the weekend. The USO North Carolina will provide bottled water and snacks during the event.
• Camping equipment will not be provided by USO North Carolina. Participants must bring their own camping/outdoor gear for the weekend.
