Artistic composition, or the way visual elements are arranged in an artwork, can make the difference between a project being good and being great! In this four-session class, participants will learn and practice compositional concepts and strategies that artists use, (what they do and why they do it), to improve the composition of their drawings or paintings (or even videos!). There will be plenty of time to practice and experiment and get feedback for sketches made in class.
All instruction will be using pencil or charcoal, but participants are welcome to bring whatever drawing materials they enjoy and are comfortable playing with. Minimum supplies to bring are a sketchbook, pencil and eraser.
