Dynamic new format for the U.S. Open
June 2026 will usher in the new U.S. Open with some exciting changes to the format of play.
Players will begin in a pool play format which will all be played back to back. Once pool play is finished you will be seeded by your performance into a single elimination bracket. This will allow more play for all players. No more 1 and out! Skill divisions may be combined and then split out into two brackets (i.e., B and C) both brackets will medal, yet you will drop to the C bracket or rise to the B bracket, based on your performance. This dynamic format will help alleviate sandbagging.
