Dr. Rahul Sahgal, CEO Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce
Dr. Rahul Sahgal is the CEO of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce (Swiss AmCham), overseeing efforts to strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations between Switzerland and the United States. Previously from 2021 to April 2024, Dr. Sahgal served as Deputy Head of the Tax Division at the State Secretariat for International Financial Matters (SIF) in Bern. Prior to his tenure at SIF, he held various diplomatic positions from 2013 to 2021. From August 2017 to July 2021, Dr. Sahgal was stationed in Washington D.C., serving as Counselor for Financial and Fiscal Affairs within the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). Additionally, from 2014 to 2017, he served as Deputy Head of Unit in the Human Security Division at the FDFA, and his diplomatic career began in 2013 as Attaché Diplomatique at the Swiss Mission to the EU in Brussels. Before his diplomatic service, Dr. Sahgal held leadership roles in the private sector. From 2009 to 2013, he served as a Board Member and President of the Northern Region with the Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce. Simultaneously, he led Autoneum, a Rieter spin-off, demonstrating his managerial expertise in the automotive industry. Dr. Sahgal holds master's degrees in both business administration and law, as well as a PhD, all earned from the University of St.Gallen.
Erik Bergin, Swedish journalist and author Svenska Dagbladet, SvD
Erik Bergin is a Swedish journalist and author currently working as Foreign News Editor at Sweden’s second largest national newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, SvD (The Swedish Daily News).
Mr Bergin was the paper’s U.S. Correspondent from 2013 to 2017, based in New York, covering American politics and business, including the 2016 and 2020 election campaigns. He reports regularly on American politics and major news stories.
Among his recent reporting was the paper’s coverage of the Democratic primary in South Carolina in February 2020. He has also reported on the 2022 midterms, the coronavirus pandemic in America and elsewhere, and the Russian war in Ukraine.
He regularly produces analysing news stories and features on American politics and business.
Mr Bergin has been with SvD since 2000, and has held positions as Sub-Editor, Reporter, Assistant Domestic News Editor, Business News Editor, Foreign News Editor, and Foreign Correspondent.
He is an avid amateur photographer and has run a popular Swedish podcast about New York City, New York-podden (The New York Podcast), since 2016.

Peter Hossli, Director Ringier's School of Journalism
Peter Hossli is the director of Ringier's School of Journalism and editor-at-large for «Interview by Ringier». He was previously a reporter for «NZZ am Sonntag», a producer and host at Swiss Television (SRF), and a freelance correspondent in the US for many years. He has covered every US presidential election since 2000 and is the author of several books.
