Learn how to sketch and paint the world around you, including documenting your garden through the seasons.
Sketching & painting on location creates double memory: the memory of making the sketch and the memory of the place you visited. The best part? It’s about the experience. Everyone can learn to sketch what they see!
All materials provided, and no previous experience with sketching or watercolor needed. You’ll receive a hand-illustration instruction sheet with a small suggested supply list if you would like to continue. You’ll return home with a booklet full of practice painted sketches and extra pages to keep creating.
About the Instructor
Horticulturist Katie Elzer-Peters grew up in Indianapolis and went to school at Purdue University. She is a Longwood Fellow who started her own horticultural marketing agency in 2008. In 2020 she began learning to sketch and paint and enjoys teaching others how to create art in their gardens.
Cancellation and Refunds
