WHAT TO EXPECT:
Pausa has been open for a bit over a month. It has already become a go-to spot. Laura, the owner, has created a sweet European-style cafe. Pausa opens for coffee-related drinks from 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM. She then closes for two hours while they switch over to a cocktail menu from 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
Laura says that she will stay open for us during her usual two hour shutdown. She has lots of interesting nooks and crannies and plenty of tchotchkes around to add interest - chess sets, books, games, a sketchable bar, unique and varied furniture.
She and her crew will be happy to prepare a great cappuccino/latte to get you through your sketching. Take a look at pausacoffee.co for some images.
If you need lunch before hand, Water Street Bagel is across the street. This is an excellent (and VERY popular) bagel sandwich spot.
