Franz Josef Haydn London Trio No 1
Max Reger Serenade for Flute, Violin, and Viola
Louis Spohr Duet for Violin and Viola
Endre Szervansky Trio for Flute, Violin, and Viola
Phoenix-based chamber ensemble Urban Nocturnes's first concert appearance at Saint Barnabas features music for flute, violin, and viola, performed by Viviana Cumplido Wilson, Karen Sinclair, and Christopher McKay. Franz Josef Haydn's youthful London Trio No.1 opens the program and is followed by the playful and impetuous Serenade for Flute, Violin, and Viola by Post-Romantic German composer Max Reger. The Duet for Violin and Viola by Louis Spohr evokes a wistful melancholy, and twentieth-century Hungarian composer Endre Szervanksy's rustic and pastoral Trio delivers a rousing finale.
