?Learn Kizomba and the electrifying JAMES & POLINA style of Urban Kiz with brand new Friday dance nights!??What is Kizomba?
Kizomba is both a dance style and music genre originating in Angola, Africa. It's intimate and subtle, and one of the fastest growing styles around the world. Its technical components is also what has earned Kizomba the nickname of African Tango.
?What is Urban Kiz?
As Kizomba gained popularity outside of Africa, making its way through Portugal, France and Netherlands, dancers began experimenting and expanding the style. New styles of music, and Hip hop and Tango elements were added to Kizomba basics - making the dance faster and sharply executed.
?What is Tarraxa and Tarraxo?
Tarraxinha (or Tarraxa for short) is movement and styling of the lower body which stem from Afro and add to the flavour of Kizomba. Tarraxo is the modern addition of upper body movements, which stem from Hip hop and Popping as styling for Urban Kiz.

Class Break Downs:
⚡️JP Fundamentals - This class will cover all Kizomba basics including Ginga and an introduction to Tarraxinha, as well as the fundamentals of and transition to Urban Kiz. This is the perfect class for beginners and those new to the James & Polina style.
⚡️Tarraxa & Tarraxo - Polina's original class designed to work on and improve body movements and isolations which will become the foundation for leading and following Tarraxa & Tarraxo.
⚡️JP Cool Moves - The original James & Polina class covering new Urban Kiz and Kizomba Fusion moves, tricks and styling. This is an intermediate to advanced level so basic Kizomba knowledge is a must.
⚡️JP Workshops - These are separate, 2-hour workshops for each level where we put the moves covered on Fridays into a fun routine to work on building muscle memory, mental resiliance, stamina and musicality.

eg. Beginners option can be 3x JP Fundamentals, 3x Tarraxa and Tarraxo and 1x JP Fundamentals Workshop in the month of January.
Intermediate option can be 3x Tarraxa and Tarraxo, 3x JP Cool Moves and 1x JP Cool Moves Workshop in the month of January.
