We’re making a few **changes** this term to help create the best experience possible for everyone:
1️⃣ Open Practica & Improver + level check
📌 Open practica for anyone in the kiz community
📌 Level check for anyone wanting to join our Improver+ class who is a new student to us- this is required to help us make sure you’re placed in the right class!
NB: This will be casual 1:1 during the practica to help us understand your dance experience so we can make sure that you feel comfortable, challenged, and get the most out of your learning experience. Please let us know before, or at the start of, the practica!
NB 2: If you have previously attended our Improver+ level classes, you do not need to complete a level check.
2️⃣ Improver+ Courses duration
📌Improver + will be running for 10 weeks instead of 5 to align with the timing of the Technique Lab classes. We will deep dive into at least 2 topics during the term.

🕒 Time: 7.30-9.30pm
💲Cost: $10 entry at the door
🙋Who: Open to anyone to practice & for those new students to improver plus for compulsory level check
➖Thursday 20th August - 10-week Courses start➖
10 week course

🕒 Technique Lab 7.30pm (must have completed a foundations course)
🕒 Improver +: 8.30pm (**Level check required if new student)
💲 Pricing: $180 individual, $300 couple- must be paid by the first class

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

🔥TECHNIQUE LAB🔥
This class is focused on technique, connection, and movement quality.
Perfect for dancers who:
✅ Have done at least a foundation course
✅ May be feeling stuck or plateaued
✅ Want stronger foundations and better technique
✅ Want their dancing to feel easier, smoother, and more intentional
LEVEL NOTE: This class is not suitable for complete beginners. You must have completed a fundamentals course before joining.
🔥Improver Plus 🔥
Deep dive into 2 specific topics over 10 weeks. We start from scratch and progressively build difficulty over 5 weeks before moving to the next topic.
Perfect for dancers who:
✅ Have completed beginner and improver level courses
✅ Have danced kizomba or urbankiz for a while
✅ Want more advanced urbankiz vocabulary and techniques
LEVEL NOTE: You should be familiar with concepts such as loops & connectors, positional variations (such as saida, shadow position and orthogonal/side position).
