⚡️NEW CONCEPT⚡️ We are excited to present to you a brand new event to advance your Urban Kiz: join us for a 1hr Follower's Solo Styling Workshop and 2hr Mixed Practice social 🎉
The workshop will cover principles and variations of follower's 🌸 steps to improve your body movement, weight transfers, solo styling and flow through a choreography. Open to all levels ✨️
The social is an opportunity to practice moves, in a fun and welcoming environment. Get ready for an ultimate selection of music tracks to keep you dancing 🎶 Our team of teachers will be there to dance with you and provide 1-1 feedback, however, some Urban Kiz knowledge is advisable 🎉

Teachers:
💃 Vaso has danced Urban Kiz and various other styles (Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Tarraxo, Bellydance, Tango, WCS, Zouk, etc.) collectively for 7 years, across the UK and abroad. She was a member of the Loughborough University Salsa Society and Borboleta's World Wide Urban Kiz Project, and placed 2nd in the Urban Kiz Solo Styling UK Open Competition 2024. She taxi dances as a leader and follower for various events nationally and internationally, with the aim of building others' confidence on the dancefloor! She received her dance teacher certification in 2023 year from Jaleh Fallah (a dance teacher, teacher trainer, and owner of Dance Revolution, an established dance school, in Sheffield). She is passionate about fusing dance styles on the dancefloor.
🕺Michael, an Urban Kiz teacher and dancer, began his dance adventure eight years ago with Salsa Bug, learning from Paul Marcel and Wendy Marcel, who were part of the Cuban Fury choreography team. After exploring Bachata, he found his passion in Urban Kiz. In 2023, he trained in France with Curtis Seldon, the original creator of Urban Kiz, and earned his teaching certification. Since then, Michael has travelled to international festivals, where he's trained with renowned teachers such as Azzedine, JP and Stephy, Fred-Nelson and Morgane, and Dwe and Gaby. Having organised outdoor and indoor events in Brighton due to his love for dance, he hopes to continue his journey in Nottingham after recently moving back.
💃 Christina graduated from Leny O Cassule's School of Kizomba in 2022 and has since ventured into the wonderful world of Urban Kiz. Her background is rich and diverse, having studied movement and physical theatre as part of her BA (Hons) in Performing Arts at Nottingham Trent University. Additionally, she spent a year training in ballet and contemporary dance at Iasmos Drama School in Athens. Christina is keen to bring her knowledge and fiery style to our dance community, and she is passionate about fostering connections through dance and expanding the local Urban Kiz scene.
