Urban Gardeners Gathering: Exploring Native Birds & Backyard Birding

Join FACCES for a special Urban Gardeners Gathering in partnership with Growing and Growth Collective (GGC), centered around nature exploration, learning, and community connection. This month’s theme, Native Birds & Bird Watching, invites families, youth, and community members to discover the beauty and importance of local bird species right here in our environment.

During this gathering, participants will take part in a guided bird walk, learning how to identify native birds, understand their habitats, and explore the role they play in our ecosystem. After the walk, we’ll get hands-on by creating DIY bird feeders, a fun, take-home activity that helps support local wildlife and encourages continued learning at home.
