KIDS ART CHALLENGE
Any kind of art made from things found in a garden
Your entry fee & food items will go to the FASTT meal program, delivering 800 delicious & nutritious meals a week to neighbours in need.
HOW TO ENTER
Show up at 1:30 p.m. with your items. We'll work out more specific categories depending on what people bring. For fruits and veggies, 3 samples of each type are recommended. For flowers, you can mix different kinds in an arrangement, or show off a single bloom, it's up to you. But bring your own vase, please. The herb category includes edibles & medicinals alike. Animal partnerships might include honey, eggs, wool, whatever your interspecies friends provide. We won't narc on your chickens. Baking, anything homemade and delicious. Do not put pot in the baking, because the food is being donated to others who might not enjoy it, and judges might get too high to remember what they're doing and could eat everything on display.
HONOUR SYSTEM
You are not a commercial greenhouse or a grocery store. Your entry is the result of your own hands working with nature in an urban setting.
JUDGING
Uniform standards will not be in place, because who likes food conformity? Judging will be done by a combo of volunteers and fan favourite voters, who may not be recognized experts, but they know what tastes and looks good based on lifetimes of eating. If you want to volunteer, DM me!
RIBBONS
Will be awarded starting at 3:30 p.m.
