A Gamer’s Nostalgia is excited to present Rochester NY’s premier regional multi genre tournament. The gaming communities in this area are skilled, passionate and dedicated so it’s time to showcase that for all to see! Welcome to Upstate Uproar! ⛑⛑⛑PLAYER SAFETY⛑⛑⛑
Full vaccination will be required to attend. Please have your cards or information on your phone ready to be verified at registration. If you already verified your status with us you will not be required to do so a second time. Also masks are required while in the venue. Thank you!
There will be sanitation stations set up all over the venue along with spare masks. There will also be wipes and sprays that staff will be using to sanitize the venue throughout the tournament, if you would like to sanitize your seat or controllers please see AGN or event staff for assistance.
It’s a little different than the normal but it’s more than worth the effort to keep everyone as safe as we can. Thanks in advance for doing your part and again welcome to Upstate Uproar!

Free street parking will be available for the entire weekend. If you have any questions about parking in a certain area please contact Team AGN or event staff.
The parking garage directly connected to the venue will have all day parking available for $10 per day for all event attendees

SET UP DISCOUNTS
Players who provide full set ups will receive $5 off their venue fee (refunded at the venue) each day they bring their full set up.
A full set up for Smash Ultimate is a monitor (preferably Asus or Benq), a copy of Smash Ultimate with all the DLC and a GameCube controller adapter
A full set up for traditional FGC games are a monitor (preferably Asus or Benq) and a copy of the game with all the DLC

3. Random stage select or gentlemen's agreement
4. Loser of first match can change character(s), winner must keep same character(s) unless otherwise allowed by TOs
5. Players have 5 minutes to play their match after their name is called, if they do not play within the time limit they will forfeit the set. If this happens after the player already has a loss it will result in elimination from the tournament.
6. 1 incidental pause will be allowed anything after that will cause immediate forfeit of 1 round
REMINDERS
1. For the players who bring their systems and controllers please mark your belongings so you know they are yours.
2. Please make sure your controllers are fully charged or you have a charging cable available.
3. Turn controllers that are not being used off
4. Before you turn on a controller during tournament gameplay make sure it is not synced to a system that has a tournament game being played on it. (plug the charging cable to the system and your controller you want to play on before you turn on the controller). You can be disqualified if you interrupt a tournament game so please pay attention.
5. In the event there is a power outage or the system freezes during gameplay the TO do will make the decision to determine if the game gets played over.
6. It's very important that you play the correct opponent so if you have any questions about who you play against please contact the TO to clarify the situation.
7. DO NOT start your match until the TO confirms that you are playing against the right person.
8. If you have to leave the tournament for any reason and can no longer continue to play you will not receive a refund. The only time a refund is given is if there was an issue with the venue and or TO causing the tournament to be cancelled.
9. TOs reserve the right to change any low participant tournament into a Round Robin format.
10. In the event of a dispute on the rules between competitors the TO has the final say on the interpretation and implementation of the rules

*By agreeing to participate in the video game tournament, you grant full permission to the event organizers, with no obligation to compensate you, to use your name, voice, statements, image, likeness, and/or actions, in addition to any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings, and/or other record of your performance(s) in the Events in perpetuity worldwide in any manner and in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised (the “Materials”), and represent that you have the right to grant such permission.

GAME RULES
1. Double Elimination
2. All-Madden Difficulty
3. Default Rules and Settings and Camera view
4. 21-0 Rule (Players that are down by at 21 at any point in the game will get 1 more possession to score, if they don't score they lose that game)
5. 5 Minute Quarters with 20 second accelerated clock
6. All games will be played on the PS5
7. Home and away will be determined by coin flip or gentlemen’s agreement
8. In the championship game the player in the winners bracket will have to win 1 game and the player coming from the losers bracket will have to win 2 games. When the player from the losers bracket wins the first game in the championship game it's called a bracket reset. The next win then wins the championship.
9. Players can choose their own playbook and have 3 minutes to make any audible and roster substitution changes before the game starts.
10. Players have 5 minutes to report for their game after being called, if they do not report it will result in a forfeit of the game. Each time a player has to forfeit it results in one loss. If that player already has a loss it results in automatic disqualification because of the double elimination format. Players who forfeit and or are disqualified DO NOT RECEIVE A REFUND, so please be on time for your matches.
