This is a free event, but donations are greatly appreciated.? A wine and cheese reception welcomes attendees before the readings.
At this year's event, we will read a new work, “Life As I Knew It”, by Frank Shima. This play is appropriately set in a library. Actor Bruce Miroglio will read as the distressed Herman who is frantically looking for a book with a blue cover, and Mara McGrath will read as Clara, the stern Librarian. The rude library patron, Mrs. James, will be read by Antonia Allegra.
Also featured at this year's PlayRead will be a scene from UpStage Napa Valley's upcoming play, “The Sound Inside” by Adam Rapp.
