Upper Midwest Trombone Summit, October 12, 2025Gather with fellow trombonists in Haas Fine Arts Center for the 11th Upper Midwest Trombone Summit. Every year we have multiple guest artists come to this event to share their talent. Not only will you get to practice and perform with various ensembles, you'll also get to experience vendor instrument exhibits and breakout sessions with visiting faculty.
If you or your high school student are interested in participating in this event, please contact Dr. Ostrander. Music will be emailed to you and you should plan to bring a lunch or try one of the restaurants close to campus.
Interested in playing in the massed trombone ensemble? All trombonists are certainly welcome! Please come to a brief rehearsal before the concert.

The All-Star Middle and High School Ensemble will be led by Dr. Kara Metzger, director of the UWEC Blugold Marching Band. Music, Schedule and Permission forms will be emailed to students one month prior to the summit.
