Uplyft Film Festival (Film Showcase)

The Uplyft Film Festival (UpFF) will take over the historic Esperson Building on August 17, 2024, promising an unforgettable blend of film, philanthropy, and community engagement. UpFF is dedicated to sharing impactful, often unheard narratives, with the goal of inspiring empathy, reflection, and dialogue. This transformative event in Houston will highlight community, sustainability, and growth by fostering strong partnerships with global filmmakers and local charitable organizations. Through film, we aim to showcase inspiring stories, encourage community involvement, and foster meaningful connections and discussions.

What to Expect @the Esperson:

• Exclusive film screenings, including films connected with charitable organizations.
• Panel discussions and Q&A sessions with filmmakers and charity representatives.
• Networking opportunities with industry professionals and fellow attendees.
• 18 and up for entry. We will be checking IDs.

You can expect to see short films and have the opportunity to mix and mingle with like-minded individuals and organizations. Our rooftop outdoor coliseum space will feature schoolyard games and more. Multiple viewing rooms will showcase celebrated films throughout the event, and we will host panel discussions in the ELC Art Gallery. With over 20,000 sq ft of activated space, get ready to explore and have fun on your journey.
