About this Event

Texas Instruments’ Bay WIN and United Way Bay Area’s Women United have partnered together to host a dynamic networking event for women in the hardware tech industry.

The evening will explore topics including entry into the tech industry, career paths and upward mobility within the sector, and building out the next generation of diverse and talented women in hardware tech.

Kimberly Powell, NVIDIA

Kimberly Powell is Vice President of healthcare at NVIDIA. She is responsible for the company’s worldwide healthcare business, including hardware and software platforms for accelerated computing, AI, and visualization that power the ecosystem of medical imaging, life sciences, drug discovery, and healthcare analytics.

Julie Lata from Applied Materials

Julie Lata is a CSR practitioner passionate about leveraging time, talent & treasure for social good. At Applied Materials, Julie leads the company and the Applied Materials Foundation's HQ strategic grant program in education, civic engagement, arts & culture, and the environment and the foundation's signature girls empowerment & STEM skill-building initiative, Generation Girl.

Nancy McIntyre, REC Foundation

Nancy McIntyre serves as the Community Innovations Manager for the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation (RFC Foundation). As a credentialed educator, Nancy has helped to develop the foundation’s first online curriculum, and the engineering notebooks, which are a big part of the competitions at local, state, and national levels. She has worked with teachers around the world to empower them to successfully incorporate robotics teams on their school campuses. Nancy’s forward thinking has also led to the development of a number of foundation initiatives including Girl Powered, the Scholarship program, the International Robotics Honor Society, the Alumni Association, and a new Internship program.
