Our retreat is a life-altering one and our favorite weekend of the whole year! Our UPLIFT group will have four fulfilling days and three nights together. As one of our teens describes it: “Healing! Empowering! Rejuvenating!”

ABOUT RETREAT

This is an opportunity for our teens to deepen their yoga and mindfulness practices and bond with one another in a rejuvenating and beautiful setting. Our greatest hope is that our teens each walk away feeling more connected to who they are and more empowered to own their whole wellness each and every day with tangible tools!

We will practice outdoor yoga, journal, meditate, engage in heartfelt discussion, hike, eat nutritious meals together, and, most importantly, have fun! Everything is on-site at El Capitan: hiking trails, swimming pool, bikes, beach, and bunk cabins. We will have five UPLIFT-certified adult mentors present for the entire trip, leading thoughtful and inspiring practices.

TRAVEL DETAILS

A professional bus company will transport us to El Capitan on Thursday morning and bring us back on Sunday afternoon. Parents, the drop-off and pick-up location will be at Oso Viejo Park in Mission Viejo (10:30 am drop off on Thursday & 5:00 pm pick up on Sunday).

COST

As a non-profit dedicated to making these life-empowering tools available to ALL teens, we want to make this retreat economically feasible for all families. We are offering financial assistance on a sliding scale and will do our best to award it to those who need it most. If applying for Financial Assistance, please complete the form by May 20th. UPLIFT will forward the application if you select the financial assistance option below.

Our deepest hope is to continue doing this retreat every year, and we will need the support of our UPLIFT families to make it happen. We currently employ an honor system, and families pay what is appropriate for them. Truthfully, our housing and transportation costs have gone up. If each family pays $700, we will lose a significant amount of money on the retreat. Here is the breakdown of the costs. Please give the level that fits your income and comfort level.

COST BREAKDOWN

Total Cost Per Teen = $900

$410 = El Capitan Fee (3 nights)

$140 = Group Breakfasts & Dinners

$160 = Transportation (roundtrip)

$45 = Retreat Therapist on Site

$120 = Mentor Team

$25 = Supplies

PAYMENT OPTIONS

OPTION 1 – Full Support + Donation: $1,100

(For families who are able to support the full cost for their teen to attend the retreat and would like to help another teen attend this life enhancing retreat as well!)

OPTION 2 – Full Support: $900

(For families who are able to support the full cost for their teen to attend the retreat.)

OPTION 3 - Financial Assistance #1: $700

(For families who are somewhere in the middle, but the full cost is not accessible.)

OPTION 4 - Financial Assistance #2: (For families who really want their teen to attend the retreat, but the full cost is not accessible. Select this option, and we will follow up with you! Financial Assistance Application is due May 20th.)

2. Look out for our follow-up email with our Payment Plan Form to reconcile your balance.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to our contract with our retreat venue, all $200 deposits are non-refundable after June 1st. As a non-profit, if enrollment for retreat does not meet our minimum, cancellation is a possibility. Thank you for your understanding.
